Prattline RV
DESCRIPTIONS
Prattline RV
Australian-built telescopic and touring caravans — a heritage brand reborn for the modern off-grid era.
Prattline RV is the revival of one of Australia's most distinctive caravan nameplates, a South Australian brand that pioneered telescopic hard-shell trailer design from the 1970s through to the 1990s. Now brought back to market by a team of RV industry veterans, Prattline pairs the original Low Tow's clever two-shell silhouette with vacuum-bonded fibreglass construction, electric actuator lifting, and a full off-grid powertrain — engineered from the ground up for Australian conditions.
The Range
Low Tow — The flagship. A compact off-road telescopic camper that tows low and aerodynamic, then lifts electronically to a full 9.2-foot interior height at camp. Garage-friendly, fuel-efficient, and built for serious remote travel. Introductory pricing from AU$79,990.
15FT Tourer — A fixed-height single-axle tourer for couples who want lighter towing without sacrificing on-road comfort or off-grid capability.
18FT Tourer — A larger fixed-height family-capable van for extended touring, with the same premium build standards across the range.
What Sets Prattline Apart
- Heritage with engineering credibility. A genuine Australian nameplate with 50+ years of design lineage, not a rebadged import.
- Two-shell telescopic design. The Low Tow's signature feature — sliding upper shell over lower body — delivers lower drag, better fuel economy, and the ability to fit in a standard garage.
- Electric actuator lifting. The original hydraulic cranks are gone; the 2026 Low Tow raises and lowers at the touch of a button.
- Premium off-grid spec as standard. 600 Ah lithium battery, 600 W solar, 2,000 W inverter, 80 L fresh and grey water, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, and electric awning.
- Rugged construction. Vacuum-bonded fibreglass frame, double-glazed windows, anti-rot honeycomb floor — built to resist corrosion, rot, and the realities of remote Australian travel.
- Smart liveability. Queen-size bed with convertible dinette, slide-out exterior kitchen with four-burner gas stove and sink, indoor induction cooktop, 12 V compressor fridge, and wet bath with collapsible upper.
Availability
Prattline is currently taking preorders across all three models, with the Low Tow prototype actively touring Australian RV shows. The brand is focused on the domestic market in 2026, with publicly stated long-term ambitions to expand into North America and Europe.
